Wow what a great month! We had a great Christmas, but I am ready to put it all away now until next year. I am trying to start some family traditions now that Jade is older and enjoys it now. I thought it would be fun to make sugar cookies for Christmas Eve. Jade and I had a great time doing it. As you can see she made a big mess and coated the front of her shirt with flour, but she was so cute.
We had a party with friends and ate chili and bread in the shape of a Santa. Then we watched the Chevy Chase Christmas movie.
On Christmas Eve, Weldon spent the day hunting coyotes and rabbits with his friends and I spent the day at my sister's house making candy. It was a fun day. Weldon had a blast hunting.
As you all know my brother Patrick is on a mission. His mission president let him call us on Skype so that was really awesome! It was so great to see his face. He looks really good. We were able to talk to him for an hour and it was the best present of the whole day. It was really hard to say good bye though. I have been a little sad, and I think it made him homesick too, but we were all so grateful that we were able to see him, and we are so happy he is serving a mission.
After that we all went back to my mom and dad's house and had a great Christmas dinner and party. I love my brother's and sisters so much, and I always love spending the day with them.
Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas guys! It looks like it was a good one. If you want lessons on how to be rediculously over indulgent with Jade we can give you some tips, we have been at it a long time. It's our Christmas tradition ya might say.
