The breeze in my hair, the sweet smell of the trees, the sound of a flowing river.... These are some if my favorite things. I absolutely love hiking and spending time in the mountains. I've REALLY missed it this summer. We've found that Jade also loves being outdoors. So Jade and I went up for a beautiful walk in the mountains yesterday. I did not want to leave.

I agree!! Aaron and I love to be hiking too, and are always sad when the season is over. We are almost thinking about snowshoes so we can hike in the winter too. Maybe....

I had the same experience in the park on Saturday. It was beautiful. Leaves were falling, the temperature was perfect, my kids were playing and John was sitting next to me on the bench. It was one of the moments of simple, wonderful, beauty and contentment.
I'm so jealous, it makes me miss Idaho so much!!!
