Well, Jade had her 4 month Doctor's visit today. She weighs 12lbs 12oz and she is 25inches long! She has grown 5 inches! She is long and skinny. The doctor said she is a perfect baby.
We are so blessed!!!
Jade has a play mat that she loves to play on, you know with the toys hanging above her head. Anyways, the over head bar thing pops out of the sides and Jade figured this out somehow the other day. She would roll to her side and KICK the bar out of the side holder. If I wasn't in the room she would start fussing and I would come put it back. Then, she would immediately get this funny smile on her face and kick it again. This happened several times before I realized this wasn't going to work out anymore. She's too smart! So, I got the exersaucer out yesterday and she went nuts over it! This picture is when I first put her in it.
I really don't know what I'm doing when it comes to parenting, but who does right? Jade has been showing the signs of being ready for solid food so we gave it a go on tuesday night. She actually swallowed a few bites. But, maybe we'll try again in a week or so.

Your right none of us really know what we are doing! Jade looks about like my kids did the first time they had baby food. You are doing a great job Julie and she is a cutie!!!
Some of my favorite pictures of my babies are their first few attempts at baby food, they are so innocent and MESSY!
