Proposition 8

Preserving the Divine Institution of Marriage

I wanted to put this link on my blog because I absolutely believe that the only definition of marriage, is marriage between a man and a woman. I know that I look at my daughter everyday and I want to give her the best life possible. If you really think about it, most of the problems in this world are caused because of the disintegration of the family. If proposition 8 in the state of California is not voted YES, then homosexual marriage will continue to be legal there and the definition of marriage will be changed. If you think this will not affect you, then you are wrong. We need to think about the lasting future effects this could have on our children. If marriage is redefined, then schools will teach our children that heterosexual and homosexual marriage are equal. That will cause great confusion among our children. That is not okay with me.
I hope everyone will educate themselves on this future changing subject.

Julie,
Thanks for this posting. Many people in our ward (me included!) are working hard to see that Prop 8 passes. If everyone who has friends living in CA would email them and help educate them as to why passing Prop 8 is important that would help us reach more people! You might suggest that they google the San Francisco Chronicle and type "Lesbian wedding and first grade field trip" into the search box. It REALLY happened on October 10, 2008 in San Francisco!

Connecticut is now allowing gay marriages, I couldn't believe when I heard. I thought this would be one of the LAST states to ever approve such a thing.

I just try to keep my mouth shut, it's so hard to though!!!
