What I Love About Sunday

As you all know, I really like to go to church.  It is a time for me to get things into perspective once again after a long and sometimes hectic week.  I just love it.  But, what makes me feel that way is not only the spoken lessons that are being taught, but the unspoken ones as well.  I love walking in, sitting down and noticing the kindnesses that are being given from one person to another.  An older couple helping a stressed out mother with her children, a kind smile, a warm greeting, a laugh, someone holding the door for another person, or someone wiping away a tear. I just love to watch people and am always uplifted by the good examples of the other people around me.
A few weeks ago, Weldon had an early meeting. For some reason Jade was being difficult and I was almost late for church. I gathered Jade, the diaper bag, my bag and Weldon's things and headed into the church. A woman from inside the chapel saw me struggling to get the door open and walked out just to help get Jade and our things inside.  It must've been just what I needed at that very moment because I have not forgotten her kindness.
Last of all I love, love, love listening to Weldon and the people behind me sing the Hymns. I love hearing them sing out and feeling the love that they have for God and Jesus Christ through their voices.

I need to try harder to notice the little things at Church. My main focus is usually how soon can we get to nursery.
I love your Adoption Option page. It is always hard to know what someone else is going through unless you have experienced it yourself. I'm sure you will be inspiring to other people going through the same thing.

I love Sundays too Julie and I love going to church too! I love being with people who believe what I believe and feel the same way about life that I do even if we don't always exactly agree on everything. I also love Sundays because I can come home and take a nap and not feel guilty about it!!

I agree! It is wonderful to see such kindness. I too love to put things into perspective again. It somehow feels like I've just charged my batteries again for the week.
