House Update

We are making progress! These are mostly for the enjoyment of Mom Joyce. If no one else cares, we won't be offended. We are very excited! (click on the pictures to make them bigger if you want to.)
Weldon had to dig up our main water line today to add an extra hydrant so they don't have to let water into the house pipes and have them freeze up. It took a while but it is done.
This is the entire house from the back side. Ours on the left, Mom's on the right, with the garage in the middle and partially in front of our house.

This isn't a very good front view of it because there were too many trucks but there it is. Where Glen is working on the left is mom's side and the edge of ours is where that small wall is up on the right.

This is our house. They finished all the concrete today! We are having pure concrete floors that are dyed brown (pumpernickel was the color we chose) and stamped and cut into squares where there would normally be tile. I haven't seen much of it done so I was pretty nervous especially because we took a shot in the dark with the color, but, I absolutely love it! It makes me even more excited! (That's Weldon's new Geo in the background)

This is mom's house. I'm standing in the garage. The laundry is in the left corner of the garage (but will be it's own room). Then in the house, the kitchen will be on the left, then you can see where the bathroom will be in the middle.

This shows mom's house with basically her whole garage. (I'm standing in the garage again) On the right behind the garage is where your private patio will be!
Mom's shower. You can see they cut your floor into a diamond pattern. It looks really good!
This gives you an idea of what the concrete floor looks like. It is really brown but they had to use a black power for the stamp. It will mostly be wiped off. Weldon wiped this off a little. But you can get the idea.
The concrete cut into the squares. Obviously with the black powder on it still.
Framing starts next week. Suddenly in about 3 weeks there will be a house standing! Get excited mom!

Of course we care! I am actually pretty excited to come up and see it next weekend. I hope that there isn't snow on the ground yet!
