We got a visit from Jade's birth family yesterday evening. We had a really good time with them. We felt like we were visiting with old friends. Jade's birthmother bought her a beautiful red dress and we tried to take a good picture, but Jade wouldn't quit crying for long enough. This one is pretty good though.
We are extremely thankful for them. We will be seeing them again in about a month.
Jade really loves her daddy. She was happily laying on his chest last night while Weldon talked to his mom on the phone.
I had to show these pictures because Jade's birhtmother's sister got this hat for her from Alaska. It is so adorable on her.

So it sounds like your ok with it being an open adoption. Thats awesome, I know for my brothers family it has been the best thing ever to have it open. It's made it so much easier for my neice.
Julie, Oh that is just wonderful.. I also have an open adoption with our family(birthfamily) I think they are like my family. We actually have Braxton's birthsister here staying with us for 2 weeks.. We are in contact with the birthmom, grandma, and braxton's sister. She is 13 so I think it helps for her to know about her brother. Thanks for your comment.
