Christmas Eve Pajamas ( Yes, my 9 month old is close to the same size as my 3 year old! So funny!)
Christmas Morning
Well, I am really quite glad that December is over this year. Not our best month. I know I tend to get dramatic at times and I'm sure things can always get worse but, dang! A lot of things went wrong with the house and the vehicles and very sick children and husband. It was like a financial free fall or something. The day before Christmas Eve, there were two steaming piles of crap in my backyard because our septic backed up. My mom told me I was a bad girl this year so Santa came and pooped on my house instead of giving me presents. I guess I know what it feels like to get a "lump of coal" in my stocking now.
But, I did learn a few things to this month. Look for the good things in life. I know we all already know that. This is going to sound silly, but I found some happiness because of a cartoon the Jade watches. She was watching "Olivia" one day and the grandma pig was visiting. Every night the granny pig eats ice cream and Olivia asked her why she did that. She told Olivia that she likes to eat ice cream and think about the favorite parts of her day. It was funny because I had just been thinking about how days are like that. Some good and some not so good parts to every day. So, I decided to think about that when I was laying in bed at night. I must say, it really helped me through the hardest days this month. I think it will be a good thing to adapt into my life.
Luckily, everyone got over their sickness just in time to go to Driggs for New Years and visit some friends. It was just the break we needed and we all had such a great time. And the Tetons are always so beautiful!
Happy New Year Everyone!

Sorry you had such a hard month. I'm glad everyone is feeling better. We bought a house in Montpelier, and we are loving it.
