Easter Eggs

Jade had a horrible week with painful ear infections. Luckily, she is starting to feel better now. It's so hard to watch her suffer like that, and it has happened too much this winter in my opinion. She was literally sick every other week. One week to church one week home was pretty much how it went. I have had it with people that bring their sick kids. It's a shame because Jade absolutely loves nursery. And we love church when we can take her, but unfortunately, we have had to keep her out of nursery because of the other sick kids. I can't stand the thought of purposely getting her sick. Yes, I'm mad about it.

I've waited a long time to do fun little things like coloring Easter eggs with a child, and I'm so glad Jade is getting old enough to do them with me. Jade and I had a lot of fun coloring eggs today. We worked for about an hour on them and Jade was very into it. Whenever I handed her a dry egg to put stickers on, she would try to throw it back into a cup of dye. That was obviously her favorite part! She just wanted to stir and stir and put the eggs in the cups.

Once they came out colored, she was so excited and started thinking they were balls and wanted to throw them into the carton instead of place them nicely. Then she grabbed one and just dug her fingers into it. Of course it wasn't the way I imagined it, but it was just the way it should be with a toddler and I had a lot of fun too.

I tried to get her to pose, but she refuses to look at the camera anymore. She used to look straight at it, so it's funny to me now. Jade is not a people pleaser. She is funny that way.
I guess I could take her example on that.

I am really looking forward to our adult Easter egg hunt tomorrow! I hope no one breaks my leg.

I always HATE it when people go places sick too, church, work, whatever. Come on! You couldn't stay home? I'm right there with you on that one.

I am glad that she is feeling better! I also hope that you score big on the adult Easter egg hunt and just because you like me so much why don't you toss a $20 filled egg to my Mom and she'll save it for me! I think that you guys should put some rules on that game 'cause things could get mean! Have fun!

It is really fun to do those things with kids. They never turn out how you imagine, but it is always time well spent.
